The Institute for Somatic Movement Studies (ISMS) connects and supports individuals, teams and organizations applying Body Intelligence. Our goal is the transformation of Body Intelligence into wellbeing and effective action. Body Intelligence is the knowledge and experience of our bodies we have been acquiring over the years. Working from an integrative perspective we look at how we embody our sensations, feelings and actions, and how they find expression in our physicality, posture and movement. We learn how to embrace both our personal perspective and that of others. We learn how to give our own meaning to experiences; to empower ourselves in order to act and give guidance to others. The Institute is a place, a forum in which people can come together through experiential research and training focus on questions of well-being, health and general quality of life.
